OH! NO! Santa's Stuck Again!

Hello Everyone!
I want to share a few quick pics from our very busy week before Thanksgiving and an updated ramped up version of my "Oh No! Santa's Stuck" pack.
We had an amazing week with fun activities, our first grade feast and Grandparents/VIP day which for us always comes on the Friday before Thanksgiving break.

I added a few more written expression opportunities, some comprehension (setting, problem, solution), an oral reading opportunity, a fun song, some rhyming center activities, a word search, another hands on visual connection, and some extra math tub activities.

Won't You Be Mine?

Hello Everyone!
We are quickly approaching the sweetest day of the year...Valentines Day!  First graders looove Valentines Day!  I created a little unit to use during that entire week. It includes two poems, some word work activities, an eat your words activity, "The Biggest Valentine Ever" questioning activities and craft connection, about 6 different math activities dealing with comparing and ordering numbers up to and beyond 120, some fun math strategy games and a science activity.  I can't wait to try all this with my firsties!!  I hope you can use some of it as well!

There's Snow Time Like Winter

Hello Everyone!!
I have absolutely loved having this week off.  Christmas was a very relaxing and sweet day of celebrating so many things. I feel so blessed!
 I ended up getting a yucky cold later in the week, so I was forced to stay in and enjoy the snow from my couch.  It did give me some time to put together a little unit for later on in the winter, probably the week of Jan 21.  I love having time to plan ahead for a change.  This little unit includes some winter poetry and interpretation responses, some compound word activities, a word search, some math tub activities, including one with missing addend, a marshmallow snowman craft connection, some quick reader's response to go along with "The Biggest Snowman Ever" By Steven Kroll, a mystery picture math activity with addition and subtraction clues, and a fun science activity. Here are a few pics to help you visualize.

Reindeer Games

Hello Everyone!

Rudolph is one of my favorite winter characters. As I was planning for the week before our winter break, I decided I needed something fresh and cross curricular. This unit includes ELA and Math activities that coordinate with the objectives we want to cover at this time of the year, all centered around Rudolph! Take a peek at some of the things included.

Soooo Sorry!! And a Santa Countdown!

Hello Everyone!

Right off the bat, I have to apologize for the careless mistake I made on my "Santa's Stuck Mystery Picture activity!!  I forgot to code two rows of numbers!!!  UGH!!!  I hate to make mistakes!!! If you've already downloaded my Santa's Stuck unit, please click below for an updated version of this activity!!!  I am sooooo sorry!!  My kids helped me find this mistake!!  Way to go kids!!

I also wanted to share a quick Santa Countdown!  Simply color, cut out, and give Santa's beard a trim every day until Christmas.  My kids have theirs on their desks.  Hmmm!
