We are quickly approaching the sweetest day of the year...Valentines Day! First graders looove Valentines Day! I created a little unit to use during that entire week. It includes two poems, some word work activities, an eat your words activity, "The Biggest Valentine Ever" questioning activities and craft connection, about 6 different math activities dealing with comparing and ordering numbers up to and beyond 120, some fun math strategy games and a science activity. I can't wait to try all this with my firsties!! I hope you can use some of it as well!
Here are a few pics of what is included in the 48 page unit!

I don't know what I would do without you. I want to let you know that your units fuel many of my first grade activities and I am thankful that you offer them for free. I have a folder on Google Docs named "WOW" for all of your amazing resources. From one educator to another, I say thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You are amaing, I love coming to your page to see what you are doing. Last week we used your party hat balance activity. It was amazing to see the kiddos finally understand this concept. AHHH! The lightbulb went on!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all you do for FREE!!!
I love all of your units, thank you so much for sharing them! I look forward to each of them! I did find one spelling mistake on this one that I thought you might like to know about. On the page, "Won't you be my Valentine?" the word "aloud" should be "allowed"
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I love your activities and so do my students. The party hat balance activity was such a hit last week. It really advanced their learning so much. Gratefully yours!
ReplyDeleteHeather--- Thank for pointing out my typo!! That's what friends do!! :) I have already fixed it on the download!

You are inspiring and amazing!! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing this unit (and all of your other wonderful and engaging units!)... My kids absolutely love all the activities you create! They especially love the math mystery pictures and always ask "when can we do another?" Haha...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your units for free. They are awesome! A while ago my hubby and I went through some very tough financial times. I remember looking through teachers pay teachers and thinking, "It would be nice to be able to do fun and creative units like this with my students", knowing that there was no way I could afford to purchase even the least expensive of them. I swore then that if I ever created something for teachers, I would never charge for it. Since then, I have created a few things, but nowhere near the level of yours. I hope you realize what a difference you are making for those teachers who can't afford to purchase these activities. Thank you.
